Who We Are
Safa Music is more than just a music school. Founded in January 2020 by Violin Instructor Safa Amiri, our institution embodies a lifelong passion for music education. From picking up an instrument at age 8 to performing with symphony orchestras worldwide, Safa’s journey paved the way for a unique music institution. With over 15 years of teaching experience, he created a space where students and instructors could form a community centered on their shared love for music.

Our Mission
Our mission at Safa Music is to enrich lives through music by fostering collaborations that go beyond the ordinary. Whether you’re a young learner discovering the joy of music, a seasoned musician seeking opportunities to showcase your talent, or a business looking to enhance your atmosphere, Safa Music offers tailored experiences that align with your unique vision. Furthermore, from personalized music lessons for learners of all ages to connecting musicians with exciting gigs and businesses, we strive to create enriching musical encounters for everyone.
Our Journey So Far
Since our inception in 2020, we’ve achieved several milestones that reflect our commitment to music education and community building:
- 2020:
- Started with one local guitar instructor in Gainesville for in-person lessons.
- Increased students to 8 or 9 by Summer 2020.
- Put together a team of musicians, including musicians from the UF Department of Music and some other local musicians including a Drummer, an electric guitarist, and vocalists (June 2020).
- Completed a collaborative project amongst all those musicians who recorded “You Got A Friend In Me”.
- Started virtual lessons with all instructors as well as virtual workshops/webinars.
- Launched the Safa Music Website in July 2020.
- Launched the Persian Music Department in August 2020.
- Maestro Anoushirvan Rohani, a world-renowned Iranian pianist came on board in August 2020.
- Partnered with an Iranian musician in Istanbul, Turkey, and together, we succeeded in completing our Persian Instructor team and brought in 20 renowned instructors to Safa Music by Oct 2020.
- Started providing service to the Iranian Community outside Iran and now we have more than 50 students in total from all around the globe.
- Started online workshops and competitions. Starting with a singing competition back in October 2020, where more than 200 vocalists participated. This competition lasted two months! Those selected (70 out of 200) went live on Instagram and sang a piece. After that round ended, in the semi-final, we selected 20 out of 70 performers, and in the final round, 5 out of 70 were selected. The winner was awarded a song composed, mixed, and mastered by Safa Music. The composed piece could be used for performances and recording. Furthermore, they were able to join Safa Music for live performances worldwide!
- 2021:
- First, world-renowned guitarist, Maestro Babak Amini, joined Safa Music in January 2021 and then held an online workshop with 33 participants worldwide.
- In March 2021, Safa Music launched our music production department. We’re passionate about working with short movies, feature-length films, documentaries, and advertisements. As far as genres go, we work in ALL genres! In any case, if you’re looking for Jazz, Classical, or Contemporary, we do it all! Our Music Production services include Music composition for Media Production companies and Filmmakers. Music composition for Singers, and arrangement and/or mixing and mastering for Composers.
- On top of that, starting in September 2021, we started working with churches in the Gainesville, FL area to provide experienced and talented musicians to render music for their worship services.
- As of November 2021, SMA is serving 40 students worldwide and has 24 instructors on board.
- 2024:
- In 2024, Safa Music is expanding its locations to reach more students and introducing a new, unique local music partnership platform.
